Here's the thing. I am terrible with sequels, and even worse with trilogies. I don't have solid data on this, but there's probably a 95% chance that I won't read the last book in a trilogy or series. Maybe it was because the Twilight Saga and the Hunger Games trilogy ruined me. Seriously, Mockingjay???
I openly acknowledge this. I could love the first one (see most recently: Under Different Stars, by Amy Bartol, among many, many others), like the second one, and be completely indifferent or disgusted at where the book is going, and refuse to pick up the last one on principle.
Maybe I'm destined for stand-alone books.
Is anyone else like this? Am I all alone? Let me know, and happy reading!
